6 Hidden Gems of Spain

Spain is the second most visited country in the world, with more than 83 million visitors in 2019, according to the World Tourism Organization's International Tourism Highlights Report. With 48 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and thousands of castles, that's not surprising in a country with too many beaches. Have you read about tourism pollution in Barcelona or heard about Madrid, Marbella and Alicante? But what about some of Spain's lesser-known hidden gems? Do you think that's it?

The answer is NO! One of the reasons I love Spain is that there are many hidden towns and villages. Many are far from remote tourist destinations. I'm always looking for a place to walk down the street without wearing a selfie stick or meeting people in every corner. And I bet most of you loves these places too!
